This week has been a blur. I mean, how is it already Friday? The weekend will go by just as fast, if not faster than the week. Time is certainly flying by.
I am starting to really notice little things. Little things like encouragement from my kiddos while doing work (the summer semester is about to end, fall semester prep is underway, my laptop looks like an attachment to my body). Secretly, they might be wishing we were doing more adventurous things, but I know they are appreciative of days in, relaxing, movie watching while mom tries to multitask.
I see you, amazing kids, and I love you.
Little things.
Sam coming home after several days of training. Exhausted from the training itself and travel, he doesn’t notice the laundry that needs to be folded. He doesn’t mind there’s a little clutter of school things on the coffee table. He doesn’t see the dog hair that has somehow appeared after the daily vaccuming, instead he points out how happy he is to be home. He is glad that we are all under one roof.
The little things like telling me how pretty I look when I feel like I’ve been hit by a truck. Even when I am worn out from thinking and reading all the things about teaching a new course, he still thinks I look like a million bucks.
I see you, adorable husband of mine, and I love you.
Tiny things, small things, that are not listed on any “to do list” but moments that mean the most, often times when you need something to be your “a-ha!” moment at the most, life does that. I love the little reminders. Reminders that in all the chaos and wild times everything will be okay.
Enjoy the little things, they really do turn out to be big things that mean a lot.
My world. I love these people (and that dog) to the moon and back. I love them so much it hurts. I love them with everything I have.
