When Sam came home with Memphis is 2016, going out in public was a little different for us. In fact, that different became our new normal. We had a dog with us. In a restaurant, in a store, at softball games, on vacation, in a hotel. Wherever Sam went, Memphis went.
I started keeping track of things, making a list (as a planner, I like to have the list and the notes and all the things in order). I wrote down questions people asked (and thought of ways to answer them or reframe them). I jotted down some phrases we would hear (overhear) when people would watch (or sometimes follow us).
I found an app. There’s an app for everything, right? This app allowed you to create a list. FOR ANYTHING. A list making app? Yes, please.
