Today I have the honor of attending a meeting of the Veteran and Family Advisory Council at the VA.
As a military spouse, I have mixed feelings about the VA. I want to make sure that Sam gets the proper medical care and medication that he needs. We’ve been lucky (knock on wood) in that his care has been good.
Being actively aware of what meds and treatment plans your Veteran has is important. Our local VA in Marion put together a council to work to understand the needs of Veterans and Families. I can get behind that idea.
Being a caregiver is a very important role. At times our voices are not heard. This council hopes to change that.
I’ve shared how my role as a “milspouse” is a little different from traditional military spouses. I’d like to share that post again.
This is a snapshot from our wedding day…our anniversary is coming up…❤️
