This weekend finds me being eternally grateful for a lot of little moments that turned into big moments.
We’ve been blessed to have some our family here (Sam’s parents and sister) for the Easter weekend.
I always get a little emotional this time of year for several reasons…
1. Easter: Christians celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
2. Sam and Memphis: this time last year they were in training.
3. Dolly Parton.
4. Did she just type Dolly Parton?
5. Yes I did.
For as long as I can remember, I’ve loved the song “He’s Alive.” I’m not sure how I stumbled upon it, but I want to say it probably had to do with my grandmother.
“He’s alive and I’m forgiven.”

While it seems that some of the focus is on the Easter bunny and how many jelly beans and Peeps can be purchased/consumed, Easter is not simply another time to consume candy and look for eggs.
Some consider Easter to be the oldest Christian holiday and one of the most important days of the year.
I consider every day I have on this Earth with my family and friends some of the most important days, too.
Grateful for small moments: texting and chatting with new and old friends, family time, phone calls, GIFs, coffee time, and date nights.
Grateful for big moments: my faith, the love of family and friends (no matter what), and precious moments every.single.day.
