My goodness, I am so glad today is Friday.
I think I have “spring break fever.” Today our campus was like a ghost town. All I could think about was how rough of a morning I’d been having (as well as a few of my family members), and I wasn’t feeling school. I wanted a break.
This week has been stressful. Sam has had some triggers that have really caused anxiety around the clock. Memphis has been such a good boy, a shining star, that he helps aleaviate some of that anxiety.
Then night comes and we get a few hours here and there…
I’m so thankful for spring break. I’m thankful for time with my family…away from what I like to call chaos. I look forward to a great trip to Portland, and I am so excited about traveling with Sam and Memphis.
I hope you can relax this weekend. One of my favorite things about this week is my new book, Portraits of Coruage, and I decided to read some of it this afternoon.
Regardless of your stance on Dubwya, this book highlights various service members that George W. encountered during his time as President.
I would say, in some sense, this is quite therapeutic for Mr. Bush. The decisions, the results of them, and high demand of his former position can’t be easy…and this is an absolutely amazing tribute to some of America’s warriors.
My Friday vibe: Logan hoodie (Go Vols!), leggings and this precious book. I highly recommend it.
